Spaghetti Without Wheat Is a Home Run

non-spaghettiYou can skip carbs and and still enjoy “spaghetti”. Face it. It’s the meat sauce that you really taste. Skip the gluten and carb filled wheat sticks soaked in water. You won’t miss it at all. I’ve suggested this dish before. It’s one of my favorites. A nice meat sauce ladled over a plate of steamed broccoli is actually much more flavorful and definitely better for you.

No wheat and veggies too. It’s a solid double play.

Diets Blow When You Fly

I just got back from a trip. If you’re trying to do a low carb diet, it’s tough to have any options for eating. Airport food service is pretty much a carb buffet. I’m just not sure how much food would clear TSA. I remember a story of a couple getting pulled aside and alarms sounding because they had a pack of frozen chicago hot dogs in their bag. It looked a bit too much like a pack of dynamite.

So… I admit I blew it about as much as that TNT. But it will happen when you’re not just dieting for a goal weight. Know you can get back to low carbs, low calories and lower weight. Just don’t let it make you stop your new diet.  Of course if you relied on food you get while on the plane nowadays, you’d really lose weight!

Chocolate Eggs Are Not Low Carb

Happy Easter! Okay, the temptations are way too much to ignore this Sunday. Go ahead, raid the basket. You can hop back on the diet trail Monday.

TODAY: EAT THE GOOD CANDY. DON’T WASTE CALORIES ON THE CHEAP STUFF. (PEEPS WOULD BE “CHEEP” CANDY SO THEY DON’T COUNT.)
